KDI
Mission
“To accelerate the creation of a critical mass of industry relevant, quality K-Workers to meet the urgent requirements of the ICT industry”
Key Concepts
KDI to comprise of programmes; to leverage on available infrastructure; stop gap measures
MDeC to drive Key KDI programmes. In addition other programmes will driven by Partners with MDeC support
Objective
Create and facilitate programs to:
• Meet industry demandfor K-Workers
• Increase availability of talent pool for the industry
• Enhance employ ability of K-Workers
The proposed project will be based on the implementation of 2 key programmmes:
MSC Malaysia Undergraduate Skills Programme (USP)
• To equip undergraduates with industry-relevant skills before graduation
MSC Malaysia Job Camp (JC)
• To develop skills of available K-Workers to meet existing and immediate vacancies in Malaysia Status companies.
• All two programmes to be conducted above are in-line with the mission of the KDI, that is “to accelerate the creation of a
critical mass of industry relevant, quality K-Workers to meet the urgent requirements of the ICT industry.”
KISL & MSC Malaysia KDI
MSC Malaysia KDI forms collaborative alliances with Government agencies, industry experts, companies and academia. In this regard, MDeC released tender inviting sections of various industries to participate in this initiative. Amongst all competing tenders, KISL’s proposal & approach stood unique.
MDeC has authorized KISL to undertake MSC Malaysia USP & JC programmes.
